This week's topic on Illustration Friday is "layer", and even though I tried to make myself do something more grand like geological layers, or layers of meaning, all I could really think of was cake layers. Oh well, paint what you know!
Kristin, does not matter. Anyway, what you do, it is always good. Congratulations. Great illustration. I guess she's doing a prank. Test the cake without permission. :))
I agree, doesn't matter what you draw because it's bound to be SO beautiful! Love the colours in this one...and those halos around the candles! Great work :)
Kristen! I always loved your art at Union, and now, with the help of Scott Cushman, I tracked you down again. Yay! I love what you're doing now; your style has really changed, but the subject matter is still totally up my alley.

I love the little details in this...the decorated arched top, the patterned floor...it's such a lovely composition!
ReplyDeleteAnd you painted it so well! The cake looks so delicious and tempting!
ReplyDeleteYou need some more art. You have developed such a wonderful style, it is a shame not to exercise it regularly.
ReplyDeleteTruly, you have a great sense of things artistically. Looking forward to more art.
Hope all is well.
